After graduating from high school, he moved to the United States and completed a major in neuroscience and psychology at the University at Albany. Upon returning to Japan, he served as a visiting researcher at the RIKEN and currently holds a concurrent position as a researcher at Keio University. He established MEMORY LAB in 2021. Utilizing the aggregation of knowledge found in big data from research papers, he aims to create a world where anyone can access scholarly information that was previously only accessible to researchers, with ease and speed.

After starting research at 18 in a technical college, he earned his bachelor’s at Tokyo Institute of Technology, his master’s at the University of Tokyo, and completed a Ph.D. at Waseda University. He worked at Daiichi Sankyo in clinical development and strategy, led new product planning including cancer treatment Enhertu, and was involved in license evaluation. Later, he played a key role in a medical AI venture, MICIN, founded two startups including one from the University of Tokyo, and worked on digital transformation at McKinsey & Company. At MEMORY LAB, he is the COO, overseeing business operations and product development.

Major in psychology and a minor in higher and adulthood education at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Conducted research in organizational psychology at the University of Oslo and contributed to the development of leadership models for CEOs in the private sector. Additionally, dedicated four years to collaborative efforts with nationwide high schools, educational committees, the Ministry of Education, and the U.S. Embassy in career education projects and regional revitalization initiatives at an educational non-profit organization. Currently serving as the HR Manager at MEMORY LAB, overseeing organizational strategy and human resources operations that shape the future.

He conducted research on creating human brain organoids at Waseda University Graduate School. After starting his own business at the age of 18, he has managed several companies and handled everything from server construction to app development and media management, using a wide range of IT-related technologies. Currently, he is using big data analytics spanning genetics to healthcare economics to unravel the mechanisms of human brain formation. At MEMORY LAB, he serves as the Product Manager, bridging technology, science, and business.

After graduating from India International School, he specialized in information science and engineering at Waseda University. He pursued graduate studies at the same institution, focusing his research on the applicability of machine learning for estimating causal relationships (Graphical Causal Model) and on XAI (explainable AI). Leveraging his extensive practical experience as an engineer, he has won multiple awards at hackathons both in Japan and abroad. At MEMORY LAB, as the Tech Lead, he is dedicated to making science and daily life more interconnected.

Upon completion of a B.A. in Economics at the University of Tokyo, followed by an M.A. in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University, and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo, the individual currently serves as Special Counselor to the President of the University of Tokyo. This role is complemented by the position of Director of the Research Institute for Regional Collaboration in Future Society, and a professorship at the Graduate School of Engineering, focusing on Technology Management Strategy. Additional responsibilities include being a special member of the National Land Council and a special-appointment advisor at RIKEN. Areas of specialization are broad, encompassing decision support using large-scale data, data science methods, scientific metrology, computational social science, and computational language processing, with a strong advocacy for 'technology informatics.'
